Ordinarily, the American Black Film Festival takes place in Miami. Featuring rising talents of the black filmmaking community, the event has launched the careers of countless industry luminaries including the late Chadwick Boseman.
As we all now know, 2020 and 2021 were not ordinary years. After transitioning the event to a digital forward format this vibrant and flexible brand expression for the prestigious HBO Short Film Award was exposed to the largest number of attendees the event has ever experienced.
