Jacob Blickenstaff is the photographer behind memorable album covers by soul legend Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings, Natalie Merchant, Sean Rowe, The Como Mamas and countless others.
Setting out to capture the eccentric calling card layouts of early traveling musicians the final designs reference his actual equipment, type styling from an era which inspires him all while echoing the timeless aesthetic of his photography in letter-pressed black ink.
