On March 6, 1963, John Coltrane and his Classic Quartet (McCoy Tyner, Jimmy Garrison, and Elvin Jones) recorded an entire album worth of material at the legendary Van Gelder Studios. This “lost album”, which features unheard originals and revealing takes of what would become now legendary music, was finally released 55 years later in June of 2018.
A collectible “impulse! Orange” vinyl was die cut with markings from the companion LP and pressed with two tracks from that same session. (Untitled Original 11383 & Impressions)
