In a 1960s experiment, a two-day-old chimpanzee named Lucy was raised in a household and treated as a human member of an average family. At age 11, Lucy became too strong to continue be kept by her adoptive family, and was returned to the wild to learn to associate with a troop of chimps she’d never known.
This documentary details Lucy’s longtime caretaker and dear freind Janis over years of shared life in the jungle as she helps reintroduce Lucy to the wild and her new family.
